HCI Announces Release of InnovaTV Patient Portal
IPP

Cincinnati, OH (July 1, 2010) – HealthCare Information, LLC (HCI) introduces a new interactive patient solution, InnovaTV Patient Portal.  This new application acts as a gateway for patients to send service requests, buy movies on demand, view discharge information, and more.

InnovaTV Patient Portal is designed to work with HCI RoomMate IPTVs, which are hospital-grade UL-listed televisions designed for healthcare facilities.  The RoomMate IPTV software allows the patient to enter the InnovaTV Patient Portal with the touch of one button from their pillow speaker or remote control.

Patients can send service requests to hospital staff, such as request room cleaning or non-emergency assistance.   Designed to address the patients needs and improve patient satisfaction, hospital staff can respond to and track patient requests.

Healthcare facilities can also provide movies on demand to patients using InnovaTV Patient Portal. The movies can be offered for a charge, if the facility wishes to allow patients to pay for movies from their hospital room.

Patients can access discharge information and other information related to their condition or procedure.  This information, which is provided exclusively by ExitCare, is available in multiple languages and is available in the patient room.

Patients and Visitors can also order food from the cafeteria or items from the gift shop.  Family and friends can order items from the hospital’s gift shop and have them delivered to the patient room.

InnovaTV Patient Portal is a cost-effective way for healthcare facilities to provide patients with a better experience during their stay.  Minimal hardware is required to run the system, and no long-term contract is required.  Learn more.
