I recently started at HCI about 7 weeks ago and was excited to be able to join my team in Orlando for the 2017 HIMSS Conference. After returning from the conference, all I can say is WOW! I was blown away to see 40,000+ attendees joined together to talk everything healthcare. As the number of attendees seems high so was the list of exhibitors. HCI TV was 1 of 1300 exhibitors at this conference that was geared towards IT Professionals, clinicians, executives and much more – from all over the world!
Exhibitors use the HIMSS conference to display to the healthcare industry what new products they have produced. HCI TV proudly displayed two new products – the Whiteboard and HUB. If you were unable to make it to our booth let me tell you what was missed.
Almost all hospitals and facilities have a whiteboard in the room and typically used for scheduling, patient, and medical staffing information. HCI’s Whiteboard though can do that and more. The Whiteboard has a 22” touchscreen display built in and can be customized to your facilities branding. This communication tool help organizes and increase the efficiency of the hospital staff and keeps the patient involved. This not only provides value to the patients but also keeps the caregivers involved in the day-to-day activities. Below is an example of what the whiteboard 22” display could look like in your facility.
Not only did we display the new whiteboard but, also the one-of-a-kind set-top box. The set-top box, also known as the HUB, is built on the Android framework and offers a secure and flexible platform. The HUB can be displayed virtually on any TV or monitor. If you already have the TV’s installed in your facility but are in need for a solution software – the HUB is the product for you. This product will empower your facility and enhance the patient experience. You can learn more information about it here.
Overall, it was a very positive experience being able to attend HIMSS and I am looking forward to seeing what’s next for HCI.
