Digital Whiteboards Offer Greater Versatility
HCI Interactive Digital Whiteboards create an integrated loop of patient communication technology. They allow a healthcare provider to display pertinent information for both the Care Team and patients. With interactive modules that track and record directly to the electronic health record (EHR), patients can see their daily schedule, discharge schedule, medications and assigned educational content on the in-room Interactive Patient Whiteboard. In addition to seeing the names and photos of Care Team members, the interactive touch screen lets users view a Visitor’s Log and rounding notes.
The Interactive Hall Whiteboard outside the room illuminates if an alert is triggered, with an elapsed time module for staffing and resource management. The Interactive Unit Whiteboard, located at the central Nurse’s Station, monitors a full department, unit or wing of rooms or beds, showing alerts, room status, educational completion percentage and more. Our system integrates with all major Nurse Call systems and existing EHR, RTLS, PAC, BMS, EVS and LDAP systems.
Patient Communication Technology – a modular solution
The Interactive Patient Care solution is a completely modular system. Using our integrated MediaCare interface, facilities can setup the device to display their own custom layout suited to the needs of their staff and patients. The display is broken down into a grid with a variety of customizable modules. The modules display a range of clinical support tools: an interactive pain scale, interactive patient schedules and goals, active alerts and Nurse Calls, an Image Viewer, Drawing Palette and even the current weather. We can customize banners, colors and images, or choose from our selection of color layouts. Brand identity requirements are easily added and customization options are all at your disposal.
