HCI Mobile Cart: Teleconferencing and Mobile Workstation in One Streamlined Device

The HCI Mobile Teleconferencing Cart has evolved beyond the hospital C.o.W.s of old – the HCI mobile cart solution provides utility and ease of use in a single space, ideal for the hospital or healthcare setting. The HCI Mobile Cart brings the Clinician to the bedside for fast access to medical records and patient/resident data to involve them in consultations, treatment and care, and doubles as a Teleconferencing Station to offer Patients connection with family and loved ones.

The Mobile Cart: Better Value for Your Budget

With a contemporary, extruded brushed aluminum surface and laminated shelf, the HCI Mobile Cart includes a 32″ HCI interactive touchscreen monitor, backup CPU battery and HCI Health-Key Infection Control Keyboard. Software for initiating videoconference calls is already installed and utilizes the built-in camera and speakers in the HCI 32″ interactive touchscreen display. The adjustable VESA mount on the mounting post allows 360° tilt and pan of monitors for optimum viewing angles by staff and patients. Assembly is simple and an optional base-mounted printer tray and file storage basket are available. The back-up battery includes Low Battery and Overload Alarms, and a built-in “Wiring Fault” Indicator which alerts if in-wall wiring connected to the battery is faulty. The battery includes two USB ports, Surge Protection and a two to five year life under normal use.

Functional, Flexible Design

With adjustable mounting heights, the back of the mounting post features a concealed wire guide to eliminate trip hazards, and the built-in power strip has four integrated, switched power outlets with a flip cover over the power switch to protect it from unexpected bumps or shut off. The cart has a sturdy, laminated work surface/shelf and the side-mounted CPU battery shelf on the base, with battery included. The Workstation Cart has a sturdy base and casters for smooth mobility, with two foot-operated brakes. The HCI Mobile cart has ample space to attach an RFID tag if your facility uses an equipment tracking system. The integrated power outlets are designed for transformer block plugs with standby topology.

The HCI Mobile Workstation can be used with HCI’s External Telemedicine video teleconferencing module and with HCI’s Family and Friends Connect video conference module.

For Long Term Care, the Mobile Cart is a great tool for connecting residents with their families and loved ones, or providing an opportunity for residents to attend virtual lectures, performances, or spiritual services; or visit with family.
