The HCI CleanCall Module is tailored specifically for hospital room application. Enabled via any connected HCI Interactive Whiteboard or Tablet, this dynamic new method of patient communication allows patients, Nurses and physicians to see and talk to one another remotely from the hallway directly outside the patient’s room or from any location with a connected interactive device. HCI CleanCall utilizes built-in 2MP cameras, speakers and microphones on HCI touch-enabled digital whiteboards to facilitate provider-to-patient communication.
CleanCall represents a new way for the Care Team to ensure patient safety and satisfaction with aligned provider communication throughout the patient stay.
HCI Adds Dynamic, Bi-Directional Audio and Video To Patient Care
With just the touch of a button on the Interactive Hall Whiteboard or any HCI-connected Digital Whiteboard, launch a video conference directly with patients without having to enter a patient’s room. HCI CleanCall is elegant in its simplicity and intuitive use.
In the event a patient is confined or isolated, digital protocol restrictions displayed on the Interactive Hall Whiteboard help staff to determine which PPE protocols to employ to limit exposure and keep everyone safe. This conserves PPE supplies and eliminates the need for in-room Nurses and clinicians to don their PPE for non-clinical patient requests.

Respecting patients’ privacy and offering them control regarding their privacy preferences is a key feature of HCI CleanCall.
The HCI Interactive Hall Whiteboard and the in-room Interactive Patient Whiteboard shown prior to a CleanCall video chat displays Patient information, including a Water Request with elapsed time, digital Protocol flags, Last Round Information, Care Team identification, Daily Schedule, Medications and last reported Pain Level.

- When the Nurse or Clinician needs to initiate a video call with a patient, they simply touch a soft key on the connected HCI Interactive Whiteboard to launch an audio path to the patient’s Pillow Speaker located in the patient’s room. Cameras are OFF when the call is initiated to respect patient privacy.
- The Nurse or Clinician contacts the patient via audio and requests permission for a video conference.
- Once the Nurse or Clinician receives permission from the patient to proceed with a video call, they can begin a CleanCall with the patient by pressing a soft key on the touchscreen.

- The clinician or Nurse can see and talk with the patient on the Hall Whiteboard, while the patient will see and talk with their clinician through their in-room Patient Whiteboard.
HCI CleanCall telemedicine video is private, secure and never leaves the facility. No video or audio data is kept or stored on any HCI device.
With HCI CleanCall, patients have reassurance and peace of mind that their needs are met, while staff are protected in the event of COVID, Negative Pressure situations or other contact restrictions; clinicians and Care Team members do not have to enter a patient’s room if contact restrictions are in place, but can assess and discuss treatment plans, schedule changes and other vital patient information virtually.
If a staff member is suited for PPE and in the patient’s room, a clinician can speak with them without having to doff their PPE. Video provider communication is used to align treatment, ensure care is thorough and workflows are more efficient, saving time without sacrificing person-to-person care delivery, and CleanCall makes it easy and convenient.

Telemedicine with offers comfort and convenience for patients and lower costs for provider communications.

The HCI Interactive Patient Care Solution includes a feature for external telemedicine, providing another layer of provider communication with patients, allowing them to connect with a preferred provider outside the healthcare facility via videoconference.

Video provides patients with connection to family and friends.

Using our MediaCare platform, patients and their families can also take advantage of the Family and Friends Connect Module, which supports crystal clear, secure videoconferencing with locations outside the hospital setting to help patients remain engaged with their loved ones, outside activities and social circles.
