Patients need to feel that their concerns and questions are heard. This module allows them to access a virtual keyboard. With it, they can ask questions, give feedback, and leave information for their Care Team. Empower them to feel heard, and give them input into their treatment plan. Nurses and clinicians can respond verbally or input responses into the module. Then, responses are saved to the whiteboard or written back to the EHR for a history of service and response.

Patient Portal

The Patient Portal on the Interactive Patient Whiteboard lets patients access hospital data related to their care. The Portal also allows patients to open education and entertainment apps. In addition, they can access Pharmacy, Foodservice and Gift Shop sites. Since staying connected to family and friends is vital, they can use social media channels for chat and messaging. Add a Welcome video for onboarding, and provide access to digital paperwork.

Consults and Tests

What’s taking so long? Waiting for consultations and test results can be challenging. Depending on schedules, staffing and turnover, in-stay patients can be left wondering when they’ll receive results. Has their specialist consultation been requested? The Consults and Test Status module displays request time, time performed, and if the results are available, a timestamp of when results were received.

COVID-19 Monitoring

HCI offers a COVID-19 interactive module layout to monitor patients' real-time vital statistics.

In light of current global health events, HCI developed a COVID-19 Module that displays patient telemetry, and current test and code status. The module can be tailored for any large-scale public health event. Research projects that require patient monitoring can tailor this module to projects specs. The HCI CleanCall patient video  module conserves PPE supplies and protects hospital staff and patients.

Enable CleanCall via any connected HCI Interactive Whiteboard and Hall Whiteboard. Using video, Nurses and clinicians can see and talk to patients and one another remotely from outside a patient room. This helps to protect both patients and staff when certain protocols are in place. Additionally, you’re conserving PPE supplies since staff don’t need to don and doff their PPE gear to interact with patients.

eSitter Monitoring

eSitter© is an integrated, enterprise-wide system to monitor patients via video and audio. Using the built-in cameras, microphones and speakers in HCI devices, staff can monitor any number of patients at one time. And with a touch to the room number or patient name on the digital Unit Whiteboard, Nurses can call up that specific patient room into full screen mode.

Image Viewer

MediaCare, HCI’s integration platform, pulls diagnostic images to the Image Viewer and DICOM Viewer. Images directly from a patient’s EHR/PACS image records display on the Patient Whiteboard to support in-room discussion. Also, the module features on-screen annotation and “zoom and pan” gestural image manipulation.

Family & Friends Connect

Turn the hospital whiteboard into a video conduit for so patients can stay connected with family and loved ones.

Family & Friends Connect utilizes a secure, encrypted service to allow group teleconferencing using an intuitive web-based interface. For example, families may use the module to give treatment and prognosis updates to loved ones, or touch base about scheduling and visits. Patients and Residents can connect with loved ones and family with a simple touch to their Digital Whiteboard or Tablet.

Dynamic Display

HCI offers dynamic digital display of vital patient data for specialty healthcare units.

Dynamic display of patient data on HCI Digital Whiteboards and Tablets is configurable for any specialty or unit, including Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Oncology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, etc. Patient data pulled from existing systems can be tailored to the needs of the Unit or specialty. Surgical Scheduling and other specialty layouts are also available.

Hidden or Preferred Patient Name

HCI Hidden Patient Name allows caregivers to hide or edit a patient's displayed name, while still maintaining patient ID from the EHR.

Hidden Patient is an interactive module that allows you to obscure an individual’s name, which supports patient safety. For high-risk or high-profile patients, you can use the digital devices outside the patient roominside the room, and at the Nurses’ Station/Charge Desk to obscure names or room numbers. The module is also configurable to display a preferred patient name. Caregivers still have patient identification and information they need from other patient identifier systems.
